Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some of our most frequently asked questions
What is the difference between FantasyGo and regular fantasy sport?
FantasyGo is a weekly fantasy sports platform. While regular fantasy sports take place over an entire season or tournament, FantasyGo players compete in contests that take place over a single match or single round of matches. FantasyGo is the only pool-based fantasy sports platform in South Africa, meaning that the more people that enter a contest, the bigger the prize pool.
Is FantasyGo free to play?
It is free to register a FantasyGo account, however most contests require an entry fee in order to enter. The amount to enter differs depending on the contest and will be displayed on the contest page.
What is a gameweek contest?
A gameweek is a group of matches that usually take place over a single week or weekend. For example, if there are 8 Premier League matches on a Saturday and 2 Premier League matches on a Sunday, those 10 matches will make up a single gameweek. There are 38 gameweeks in a season in the English Premier League. In other sports, gameweeks may also be referred to as “rounds”.
What is a match contest?
A match contest takes place over a single match, for example Manchester United vs Liverpool, picking only players from the two teams taking part in the match. The entire contest lasts for the duration of match and at the end of the match prizes are distributed.
